Arts Express Week

Arts Express Week is a signature part of Devon Elementary's Cultural Arts Program. For many decades the PTO, in collaboration with teachers and staff, has held a week-long artists-in-residence program. From the Philadelphia Circus to world-renowned musical groups, each year a group of artists are selected to join the students at school for a full week in the month of May.

Featuring immersive workshops and hands-on performing, students learn the talents and traits of the visiting artists. From juggling and stilt-walking, to A Capella singing, dancing through the decades, film-making and more, your student will not only learn from these amazing professional artists, but they will try their hand at these art forms as well. 

As a gift to the graduating class, fourth graders receive special attention throughout Arts Express Week culminating in a collaborative class performance put on for their families at the end of the week. 

Family participation and parent volunteers are critical to making Arts Express Week a success. With the goal of enriching student learning through the arts, the PTO is committed to keeping this tradition alive and robust at Devon. Please join our efforts!  culturalarts@devonpto.org
