Field Day 2025

Our whole school Field Day is an all-day event where all students are outside participating in relay races with their classmates. There are 19 stations that each class will rotate to, and students will play a team relay.  While there is an element of competition against other teams, the focus on the day is working as a team, trying your best and demonstrating good sportsmanship while playing fun and silly games.   

The students will be placed on a color team (blue, green, red, or yellow) and will compete in a variety of relay races with their classmates.  Each class is assigned to a station where parents give directions and run the game.  The games, directions, and all equipment are provided by Mrs. Lohmeyer so you will just need to explain and run the game.  Teachers will be there to monitor and help, but volunteers oversee running the events.  Each station rotation lasts for 10 minutes, so every ten minutes you will get a new group to explain and run through the game. 

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS who are willing to come for half of the day or the entire day.  In addition to running the actual games, we also need volunteers to help with set up and clean up. The best part is that Mrs. Lohmeyer does her very best to ensure that while you are volunteering your child(ren) will come to your station during the time you are there so you get to see them in ACTION! 

Please consider coming out to help at the annual Devon Elementary Field Day. WE need LOTS of volunteers to make this event happen.  Ideally, I’d like to have 2-3 volunteers assigned at each station.
